I'm an engineering leader and principal-level engineer with 8+ years in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps consulting. Most of that time has gone to one problem from different angles: making it faster and safer for other engineers to ship.

I run teams and I still build. As a manager I've led two teams at once — hiring, roadmap, on-call — without leaving the codebase. As a consultant I go into Fortune 500 environments, find where the money and the delivery time are going, and change it. The clearest example: a team I led cut a financial services client's AWS bill by more than $2M a year, with 3× ROI in the same year.

Lately most of my hands-on work is agentic AI — coding agents, MCP servers, LLM integrations — pointed at engineering delivery rather than demos. Based in Sacramento, working remotely.
